Dear Hebrew School Families,
We are eager to share with you an update on our planning process for the 2020-2021 hebrew school year.
Since the outbreak of this pandemic we have strived to navigate this complex experience with patience, flexibility, and creativity. Covid-19 did not slow us down! Together, we successfully brought together our Hebrew School families on a virtual platform while keeping the Hebrew School flame alive.
The coming school year will require that we continue to be well-prepared to adapt to a quickly evolving situation. We remain committed to navigating uncertainties.
We believe that it is essential that our students and families to have opportunities to come together in person, provided that we are able to do so safely.
Our preliminary plan is to open in-person, with a return to the physical centre, in small learning groups, with constant cleaning and sanitizing of high touch surfaces.
While we are hopeful that we will be able to safely return to our physical classroom setting, we recognize that some members of our community in high-risk circumstances might not feel comfortable doing so. We look forward to providing live-streaming access to students and teachers who might experience vulnerable health situations.
